Presentation of the dental makeover – Ula
Ula is the last patient that took part in this edition of the makeover project and thus had her smile restored by our dentists. Ula turned out to be a real gem: she fully trusted our doctors, so the final result of the treatment is undoubtedly spectacular.
Ula was taken care of by Aneta Próba-Jarmuszewska, DDS, and Magdalena Gniecka, DDS.
During her first visit, an orthopantomogram was taken in order to prepare the treatment plan. Due to a large malocclusion (retrusive occlusion) that lowered Ula’s occlusal plane, the treatment process started with the examination of the temporomandibular joint using the Gerber method and the reconstruction of the occlusal plane in order to fully restore the function of the masticatory organ.
Numerous missing teeth on both sides of the maxilla and the mandible resulted in extensive loss of the hard tissues of teeth (tooth attrition) and their destruction practically to the level of the gums. Therefore, Magdalena Gniecka, DDS, carried out the endodontic (root-canal) treatment of 10 teeth and strengthened them with fibreglass inlays. This then allowed Aneta Próba-Jarmuszewska, DDS, to take care of the prosthetic restoration (porcelain crowns).
In order for Ula to enjoy a beautiful smile again, all-ceramic crowns were placed on her upper teeth with a frame denture with locks in the lateral segment. Composite veneers were placed on the lower teeth in the anterior segment, a porcelain bridge on the right side, whereas the occlusal planes on the left side of the mandibular were restored.
The makeover was carried out by Aneta Jarmuszewska, DDS.
